This brief 2015 paper from the European Society for sexual medicine concludes that Radial Shockwave
Therapy (RSWT) represents a new, effective, non-surgical, non-pharmacological, and well tolerated treatment for men with erectile dysfunction, who previously responded to pharmacotherapy. The therapy is painless and safe. RSWT is a new treatment option for erectile dysfunction, enabling the patient to achieve and maintain sufficient and dependable erections.

This 2013 study reported by the National Institute of Health, concludes that “LI-ESWT is a revolutionary treatment of ED, and probably possesses unprecedented qualities that can rehabilitate erectile tissue.”

This nontechnical 2017 study synopsis uses the same device and protocol that we use at NuPhase Health Solutions. It reports encouraging results for ED patients, showing improvement in sexual function, with a treatment regime of two treatments a week for 3 weeks appearing optimal.

This 2015 British Journal of Urology International study is a good overview of the shockwave technology, with encouraging conclusions. It evaluates the efficacy, safety, and patient satisfaction rate with low-intensity extracorporeal shockwave therapy (LiESWT).

This 2001 British Journal of Urology International study tests the use of extracorporeal shockwave treatment (EST) for Peyronie’s disease (penile curvature). It concludes that “EST produces a significant improvement in pain and penile angle with no serious complications.”

This rather technical but impressive and comprehensive study concludes that “Low intensity extracorporeal shockwave therapy is the first treatment option for ED that has the potential to improve pharmacologically unassisted erectile function. The concept is unprecedented and revolutionary…”

This long and technical study concludes encouragingly: “Extracorporeal LISWT in patients with ED unresponsive to PDE5i treatment (meaning Viagra-type drugs) was effective and safe in 60% of patients. The efficacy response was maintained for 12 months in most patients.”
